Best London AMs for Transition to L/S Equity
Hello,
I'm a penultimate year student with an interest in equity research and am considering potential career paths in London. I want to explore opportunities in buy-side equity research while keeping options open for long/short equity roles at hedge funds.
What are the top asset managers with a london presence that hedge funds regularly recruit from for l/s equity roles.

Might be surprising to hear but pretty much none of them have any sort of regular pipeline to L/S equity.
Best thing to do is get the best LO position you can or head to sell-side and get a better sense for the different styles through that exposure.
