Best route to a Hedge Fund Post-MBA?
I'm starting at a T-15 school this fall, and I know breaking into a hedge fund post-MBA can be challenging. Given my goals, what do you think is the best path to position myself for a successful transition into a hedge fund role after graduation? Again I know it is extremely difficult just tell me what can maximize my chances please or of any success stories you know.
Thank you
I would apply for an equity research associate role.
Sellside or Buyside?
sell side - but prioritize roles with a well ranked analyst. Keep looking for buyside roles as well.
IBD
Im guessing aim for BB. any specific group?
Is that a common move? MBA associate in IBD to HF? Isn’t that a decent pay cut?
In the beginning maybe but down the line from the numbers I've seen HF is far more
