Blackrock Opportunistic Credit / Special Situations Credit Hedge Fund?
Anyone familiar with these groups at Blackrock and can speak to strategy/ culture/comp? Are they as competitive in the space as traditional distressed players?

Returns and exits for employees have been strong last I saw. These posts are for the group under Dave Trucano. Comp is light versus credit HFs but if this is the main offer you would be competitive for, its a great stepping stone.
There is another distressed pool of capital under Blackrock Event Partners and a small amount of private opportunistic private pool of capital under the legacy Tenenbaum team though that group is doing mostly direct lending these days.
Second the above - decent returns, probably get interesting experience there, tend to pay below market

Bump - any insights into culture / hours and how much lower comp is vs. HFs / SS arms of PE funds?
Anyone have any insights into the interview process here?
