How can I import data from bloomberg to excel and then open it outside of bloomberg with out an error? I know I can use paste special values, but is there any other way? I want my spreadsheet to be updated every time I open it on bloomberg, and then stay that way when I open it outside of bloomberg.

Off the top of my head you could use a self-referencing IF with a hidden sheet having all your bloomberg formulas. Assuming this cell is B1 on your visible sheet and your BDH formulas are all on Hidden =IF(ISERROR(Hidden!B1),B1,Hidden!B1)
There might be a better way though, I hate self-ref'ing IFs usually. You could ostensibly use a macro as well, but that's a bit more complicated depending on how your spreadsheet is actually built.
