Conversation with head of analyst recruiting/diligence at a MM

I had an initial convo last week with a pod PM and it went well. The biz dev person told me next steps were a conversation with someone who runs analyst recruiting for the platform, plus a case study.

I've heard that any conversation with a biz dev / HR kind of person is generally pretty chill and you won't hurt yourself in the process unless it's an atrocious conversation, but wondering if it might be different in this case because the PM just started (was a PM elsewhere previously though) and so there's no one else in the actual pod to speak to besides the PM, so the biz dev convos could be more meaningful.

Appreciate any thoughts/perspective here.
