Difference between "Equity research analyst" vs. "Equity analyst" at HF?
I am familiar with sell-side equity research, e.g., JPM, BMLA, Jefferies, Cowen etc.
Was looking into investment roles at HF, and saw some roles / profiles listed as "investment analyst", "research analyst", "equity research analyst".
- Are those different from each other?
- For "equity research analyst" or "research analyst" roles at HF:
- How do those differ from the SS ER? (roles and responsibilities, comp, competitiveness etc.)
- Are those actual investment roles? If not, how do they differ from investor roles?
Thanks.
