Difference between "Equity research analyst" vs. "Equity analyst" at HF?

I am familiar with sell-side equity research, e.g., JPM, BMLA, Jefferies, Cowen etc.

Was looking into investment roles at HF, and saw some roles / profiles listed as "investment analyst", "research analyst", "equity research analyst".

Are those different from each other?
For "equity research analyst" or "research analyst" roles at HF:
1. How do those differ from the SS ER? (roles and responsibilities, comp, competitiveness etc.)
2. Are those actual investment roles? If not, how do they differ from investor roles?

“He was very responsive and prepared for the meeting. He actually read the JD, resume, and looked up linkedin which sometimes other mentors doesn't actually go over those to prepare things beforehand. I appreciate his direct comments I think it saved time and actually helped me to know exactly where to improve. I also appreciated him admitting if he doesn't know about specific HF strategy. Only thing I'd suggest for him is probably sending actionable key takeaways after the meeting because other mentors did and that was very helpful. ”
