Differences between quant roles

When people say "quant," do they usually refer to quantitative researchers, quantitative developers, quantitative developers, or some combination of the 3?

What are the primary differences between these 3 roles? Many firms seem to use different names, so I would be curious to hear about how a particular firm labels these roles. Thanks!

Here is my understanding:
Quant researchers: Research trading strategies using mathematical models and may implement the mathematical models themselves or pass it down to a Quant Developer
Quant developers: Implement the mathematical models developed by the researchers
Quant trader: Glorified researchers?
