Dragoneer / IGSB
Do any of you guys in the HF industry know anything about Dragoneer / Investment Group of Santa Barbara (IGSB)? Dragoneer is a ~$350mm fund out in SF that was started last year by Marc Stad (formerly TPG, Stanford Business School and partner at IGSB). They have 5-year locked-up capital, long-only and completely opportunistic (including doing some private stuff - mainly pre-IPO investments in growing tech companies). Trying to get a sense for their reputation and name recognition in the industry (which is probably pretty low except maybe for people who know the SF bay area funds well - e.g. SPO).

They're still looking for an associate? I got asked whether I want to interview with them like 6 months ago.
Totally scattershot hiring approach and some strong personalities, but IGSB has a fantastic track record.
