Equity Research Career Path
Hello — I am interested in hearing updated pay figures (post-fall ‘21 industry adjustment) for equity research (NYC)
Background — presently in IB (1st yr analyst) however I think I would enjoy and learn more of what I’m interested in within ER. Then open doors to potentially exit into AM/HF. My present group promotes A2A after completing your 2nd year, and I know I will have to take a pay cut, however it may be better to make this decision sooner than later. Could someone please provide salary expectations for the below:
1st Year ER Associate: salary + bonus (%)
2nd Year
3rd Year etc..
Bonus if you can provide up-to-date figures for an entry level role at a HF/AM firm (post 2-3 years banking / ER). I know this varies greatly but a conservative benchmark would be helpful.
