Euro-BTP Bond Futures

Hi, can any one really familiar with bond futures explain what exactly a Euro-BTP future is?

I've always thought (and some sources seem to claim as well) that this is an "Italian" bond future, but Bloomberg and this site (https://www.eurex.com/ex-en/markets/int/fix/gover…) seem to suggest multiple European countries have bonds that are deliverable into this future?

Am I misunderstanding something?

It's just clunky wording from Eurex. It is a future on an Italian Bond. You can check the CTD on BB and see it is a May 1 2033 Maturity Italian Bond. If memory serves correct, it is listed as a Euro-BTP future because when they launched the products in the mid-2000s it was only 10 years after Euro launch and there were still a bunch of BTPs that were denominated in Lira from before. Same thing with Bunds.
