Expected bonus driving PNL under a PM
Im going to join a hedge fund later this month. The PM’s team is new. Besides the PM, I’d be the most senior and would be directly involved with the high level PNL driving decisions.
I’m expecting to drive significant amounts of their PNL. Assuming my PM’s slope is 10% and they manage 500M, what range of bonus could I expect? Base is 160K.

Given you are senior, you should ask the PM for a formula (best case scenario) or your hypothetical bonus numbers when pnl is x,y and z (most likely). This will give you a very good idea what you will make without guessing.
Depends on your performance and the linkage that you negotiated. It sounds like the linkage is not very clear yet so neither can the negotiation. The biz is about trust.
