Few Qs for the Quants Out There
I know that I can get these answers using chat GPT, but I believe that the answers are subjective so I wanted to know the opinion of those people who are already working in this field.
I have a few questions if you don't mind
-
Is a Ph.D. a necessity for getting into quant? If yes, then does having a Ph.D. really add any value other than getting noticed by recruiters?
-
Which programming language do you use? What level of coding and maths is required to get into quants?
-
Do you think that, with time money will outflow from fundamental funds (l/s equity) to quants funds? Or, do fundamental funds have their own advantages that an AI or a quant fund can never achieve?
Thanks in advance for your time!
