How do distressed / high yield investors stay up to date with financial performance of private issuers? These markets seem to be pretty efficient, but considering these companies don’t have to disclose financials I’m wondering how funds stay up to date on performance

Do financial analysis, but privately
Some issuers 144A etc do publish Financials just not to Edgar. But I would have to imagine that Financials get shared with debt investors even privately.
