Free Labor in the Spring

Hi all - am a student at one of the better schools in the NYCish area (Columbia/NYU Stern/Penn Wharton/Cornell Dyson/Princeton/Yale type)

I'm going to a pretty well-known hedge fund 2026 summer and was looking to work at a hedge fund in the NYC area during my Spring semester. I would 100% work for free if I were learning lots. Ideally, I'd like the fund to give me a laptop that I'd give back after I'm done working (because my current laptop dies when I model/have school work/edit videos at the same time). 

Didn't really know where to look so figured I'd come here and ask if you guys have any recommendations where I could email or any names that would let me work for free in the Spring. Would email a pitch/model/resume. I'm a super quick learner, and any help would be much appreciated. Could commute to the office as well pretty often even tho I have a setup in my apartment.
