Fundamental groups within platforms?

To fellow investors: do any of the platforms and MMs have fundamental equities groups? In other words, not the usual 1-2 quarters flipping with leverage. Having in mind: Citadel, Millenium, Balysasny, P72, Marshall Wace. Would also be interested if any of the fundamental teams are generalists.

You probably know that P72 had a group called Rubric that was supposed to be longer term fundamental oriented but that got shut down. I too would be interested to hear about any other platforms with longer term teams.

There exist generalist PMs at some of these places. You can run a generalist book if you can prove to them that you can make money.

If you are thinking more on the analyst level, then experienced hiring at these platforms is typically done with a specific team or sector in mind. When I get called up it is usually to plug a hole in a specific team created by a recent departure. People don't typically get to call them up and say I want a spot on X long term generalist PM's team. Maybe if you are a rockstar but certainly not me.
