Hedge fund internship (Citadel/Point72/Marshall Wace) out of undergrad? [London]
Wondering how hard it is to get into the big hedge funds' internships in London as an undergrad. Would appreciate what sort of backgrounds they take, what processes are like/if they're very technical (i don't study econ or finance), and how many people they take. Also wondering what advantages there are to taking one over an IBD/ER gig in London specifically (not many L/S HFs here i think)
Is it harder/easier than getting into a top London bank? I'm aware they take less and buyside out of UG is rare but want to confirm my assumption.
Heard P72 took in 40 out of 14k applicants globally for their academy, way more competitive than BB
yeah I saw it was 40/16,000 last year but was wondering what the London breakdown looks like. I think NYC takes 20 of those people so i'm wondering what London is for the summer internship
