Hedge Fund Exit Opportunities?

You often see IB > PE > HF in these forums but what are the exit opportunities for hedge funds analysts if they decide to try something else? Well, I know hedge funds tend to attract and retain a certain type that stays in the industry but I'm sort of looking at it from a "what are my options with HF experience" perspective.

I also know it largely depends on the strategy you've been working on so would be great if anyone can share anecdotal evidence on some exits based on specific strategies, they have observed. Otherwise any high level input from those with a bit more experience will be tremendously helpful. For example, have you seen Fundamental Equities > Corporate Development? Distressed / Special Sits > Private Credit? Risk/Merger Arb > In-house M&A?
