Hedge Fund Headcount for $200M fund
I have an offer from a $200M long/short fund, what's a normal investment team headcount at a firm this size? What sort of compensation is normal?

Around 1-4 investment persons (what I've seen applying to positions as an intern) depending on how new the fund is and if capital is flowing in. I've seen as many as 10 at a $200mm shop before which is stretching it thin I think.
2-4 people. It is really up to you to negotiate, I doubt a fund of this size has a proper compensation structure in place. I would say that a base of anywhere between 150k-250k is reasonable. Negotiate and ask for higher pnl%.
That base range seems high imo. Comparable positions of my friends at similar sized shops range from 100k-200k base.
Our figures are close enough I think. I guess it would depend on location and OP's YoE.
1-2 investment professionals and likely 1 maybe 2 accounting/compliance personal.
2-6 IP's, 100-150k base for analysts, most comp will come from bonus after your first year or two
