Hedge Fund or Special Situations Fund?? (Soph Summer)
Need advice choosing between a special situations fund at a very large firm (5bn AUM fund but the entire company is over 300bn AUM) and a 4bn AUM L/S hedge fund. I don't really care about comp just wanna learn about investing. I'm worried that I won't learn much at a larger fund. But, I might recruit for rx junior summer. Which one would teach me more?
First option, might help when recruiting next year
As in the special sits fund right? It's pretty big and I'm the only intern so I'm worried I'll just be doing boring stuff and not actually learning. Thanks for your response though.
U have Any advice for landing sophomore roles other than GWI, connections?
yeah, idk just grind out some pitches and coffee chat. stay on top of the timeline and put in the work.
thats been the plan, getting some leads for l/s, but did you email large asset managers to for special sits?
