I often see people on this forum or hear from others talking about fund A doing well, fund B being poor, etc. I wonder how people track HF performance. Is there any database tracking this, or is it just pure word-of-mouth intel?

I wonder if whalewisdom AUM or BBG IP tab AUM are sufficient indication? I guess no, cus that's only 13f data, doesn't include non-US holdings, right?
