I like to believe that this is a reasonable barometer to see if you'll make a good analyst. Little information, big decision.

Just ask. What has been the historic track record of the PM? How big is the book? What is the target pnl every year? If the PM was at another shop and switched, why did he make that switch? These are pretty standard questions to ask in an interview, and it’s a red flag if they don’t answer at least in a directional way

yea i didnt get to ask about pnl specific and esp since they didnt share about background and are in "book building mode" figured i wouldnt get a reply (should have pressed more tho just didnt get the chance. def will if there is a next round)
