Recently, I have started to realize that I want to pursue Long short public markets investing. I am currently in a non M&A group covering structured finance transactions (still modeling heavy). Any realistic chance I can recruit for Long short equity hedge funds? Is this a dead chance? I am super confident about corporate finance modeling as I have a year worth of experience doing that as well.
