How to make the move to a MMHF

Hey guys,

Anyone have any advice on how to move from ER to a MMHF, L/S specifically? Do I reach out to BD people? Analyst? PM’s?

Or do they come to me?

Or should I apply to openings?

I’m lost. Any advice would be great.

You shouldn't wait for them to come, they have a sufficient pool of quality candidates that reach to them. Also, you can't afford to only apply to openings on websites (very small number of openings are published online compared to the global recruitments at MMHF).

So you are right, you reach out to BD person at each funds on Linkedin and emails. Reaching directly PM could also work, perhaps not to analysts since they are usually not the decision maker on this topic.

You are well positioned if you are currently working at a large bank in ER

From when I was an intern, these BD people flooded my inbox. At a LO right now and I still get weekly emails from the recruiters
