How to study a company

Good afternoon,

How do you guys study a company's history? For example it’s easy to study a company like amazon because they have a million books about them, but what about less popular companies like danaher, sears, Phillip Morris or even oracle. I want to learn about their capital allocation, competitive dynamics, business model changes.
