interview process at millennium?

How many rounds is the typical MLP interview process? I had a call with BD, interview with PM, interview with senior analyst, case study, and case study debrief so far. Have gotten positive feedback on all. How many more interviews should I expect? this is for an L/S equities role

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the interview process for hedge funds, including L/S equities roles, typically involves multiple rounds. For Millennium, while specifics can vary by team, the general structure often includes:

  1. Initial Behavioral Rounds: These are usually with the Business Development (BD) team or other senior members to assess fit and interest.
  2. Technical Interviews: Interviews with the Portfolio Manager (PM) and senior analysts often focus on technical skills, stock pitches, and understanding of financial concepts.
  3. Case Study: A take-home case study is common, where candidates are given a few days to complete a detailed analysis, model, and write-up.
  4. Case Study Debrief: A follow-up session to present and defend your case study to the team.

Since you've already completed the BD call, PM interview, senior analyst interview, case study, and debrief with positive feedback, you may be nearing the final stages. Typically, the next steps could include:

  • Final Round Interviews: These might involve additional senior team members or even a group of decision-makers to assess overall fit and finalize the decision.
  • Negotiation/Offer Stage: If you've impressed in all prior rounds, the final step could be discussing terms and extending an offer.

Given your progress and positive feedback, you might expect one or two more interviews before reaching the offer stage. Good luck!
