Interview with Volatility Fund - Trying to prepare

I got an interview request from nowhere for an Associate level position and I'm trying to prepare. I don't have access to the job posting anymore because it disappeared. It's a systematic/quant fund that makes money off of equity options and volatility futures.

It appears to be just an initial high-level interview. What type of background or knowledge would be useful to this type of fund so I know what to emphasize? I have some market related experience but nothing in equity. In the email, the interviewer also wants to know about my general expectations (learning, experience, and salary). Any ideas on what to say for learning and experience that I'm looking to gain? Also, since I'm looking to gain experience and don't mind a low salary, what's a reasonable number to say (if it even gets to that point)?

When you say vol futures, do you mean trading vol on say crude oil futures or trading vix futures?

Although volarb is fairly niche, there are still many ways to slice it up, so it would help to know about the funds overall strategy and philosophy both for the interview as well as evaluating the fund's long term viability.

I'd say having a solid understanding of options theory is expected, but also knowing the specifics of various volatility trading strategies and a general knowledge of systematic/ quant trading would go a long way. Emphasize your statistical and programming background as well.

As for expectations, salary etc, thats personal.

VIX futures.

I will try to play up my statistics and technical skills (which includes some programming). Do you know of any good websites to learn about volatility derivatives?
