Is posting investment ideas on Substack meaningful to getting into buyside

What the title says. The world economy is likely going into a recession, and from conversations with headhunters, some funds are out of the market or pulling back scale, which implies not much hiring.

Friends in LO/HF suggest talking to more people, which is the whole networking thing I have done and know how to do.

 

Substack is a marketing channel. You control the quality of product. Like 1-on-1 networking, your product has to be good. That's the requirement for leveraging a scalable platform. 

There is no barrier to entry to Substack: Trick question - how many fintwit accounts have Substack?
