MBA for school prestige

I am in Europe at a semi target but only locally, does it make sense to work at MBB or ER (but at smaller local banks) and then do MBA to hopefully land a HF job?

My concern is that without the MBA i wont get looks from HF even with SS ER experience, because of the non target school

You can get top HF jobs without an MBA, but it seems like a HF job is not the thing you are after. If you need an MBA to get the chip off your shoulder then go for it, but don't lie to yourself and say its for HF recruiting

Yeah it is for the chip, but if you guarantee that HF dont care that much (even citadel, millennium… and not only small scrappy ones) then i will live with the chip. But yes it is the chip
