Are Mercury Partners a good headhunter to do a search with or do they have no actually leads and just spam your resume places without letting you know? Would love to hear people’s experiences with them

They rep good hedge funds and I got good intros out of them
I haven’t heard good things. They email me constantly and it’s always for a “multi-billion l/s fund”
Fairly worthless
They spam inboxes with "multibillion fund - energy/tmt/consumer" that just ends up being one of the platforms and they can be a little rough around the edges but that said, they do have some compelling mandates from time to time (which always surprises me).
would you be able to share some of the compelling mandates?
I've had good experiences with them and have known them over 10 years at this point. They've connected me with a few HFs (non MMs). They're legit.
It's shocking for me to hear they have actual mandates, although I guess they must have a couple if they bother hiring all those youngsters to spam me 24/7. The one or two times I've actually gotten on the phone with them, they have refused to tell me the mandate they are working on, which makes me think they don't actually have one and are just going to spam my resume to the platforms.
I don't talk to them but I haven't been looking for a while.
Would definitely avoid - they just want your resume. They have next to no legitimate opportunities and are generally bottom-feeders. Their "headhunters" are substantially worse than those elsewhere - and their top brass is real piece of work who knows next to nothing about the asset management industry.
