Oil and Gas Hedge Funds

I know most of the O&G hedge funds of yesteryear have likely blown up / been shuttered for lack of interest, but just curious if anyone is aware of O&G funds that are still out there? I think P72 has a pod that does O&G, so I would assume Citadel and Millennium do as well, but any lesser known funds/spinoffs that have survived?

P72 was the only shop that carried a handful of O&G teams through 2020. Started 21 with like 5ish and ended 22 with like 12. Citadel, the whole platform, cut their O&G teams in 19/20 and now have a few back. Prob looking to add. BAM, similar story as Citadel except think they had 1 through bottom of cycle. Now have 5 or so through Baly and Corbets. MLP, same thing and now have at least half a dozen across their platforms.

Exoduspoint still has Jacobs who has a big team. Think MarshallWace has at least one team. WallEye, Holocene, Schoenfeld, etc all have teams. At least a half a dozen other MM-type teams and a few other energy specific shops but drawing a blank on names.

would reach out to BD teams and recruiters if you’re interested. Still a good amount of hiring in the space but not as chaotic as it was last year.
