Palo Alto Lunch -- Idea Generation: Public Investing

Aiming this at working professionals only.

I'm a pre-MBA PE guy but I love the public markets. A few guys I've worked with now do public equities/hedge funds and I've always been interested in this. I try to do value or deep value focused public stock investing out of my personal account and work on writing 2-4 stock pitches a year simply for my own skills development.

I recently read "The Education of a Value Investor: My Transformative Quest for Wealth, Wisdom, and Enlightenment" by Guy Spier and i loved that he had a weekly lunch with old HBS class mates where one person would come with a fully prepared stock pitch and the group would discuss it.

I was wondering if there are any guys here in Palo Alto, CA with passion for public investing that would be interested in having a group lunch? If it goes well maybe it can evolve into something more formal like the idea above?

Really only interested in working professionals + local MBA students. Let me know if anyone here is interested.
