Portfolio Admin to HF Analyst

Hello everyone. Looking for some advice on what would be beneficial towards eventually breaking in with a HF.

I am interviewing for a Portfolio Admin position with a bank and currently studying for my CFA Level 1 exam with the intention of, if all goes well, passing the program in it's entirety over the next few years.

Just curious if anyone with HF experience thinks the Portfolio Admin. is a decent job to take if the goal is to eventually work for a HF? FYI, I am also interviewing for structured finance analyst and investment consultant positions at two other places. If I were to get all three offers, what would be the best?

Thanks! If you want anymore detail, just let me know!
