you need to understand advanced math, stochastic calculus, etc...and then be able to used some programming platform (python, R, etc..) to integrate your math knowledge to solving real world problems. Python has many math libraries available...but you must understand the math to know "which library should i be using here" and that intuition requires an understanding of the underlying math.
Thank you... What about if I have close to 100 backtested systems... Some v of these do work.. On multiple markets.. Time frames...I have been working for fxpro/Hymarkets for close to 7 years as technical analyst.. Can this help?
i mean sure if you can prove you can generate alpha, then you can get any role at a hedge fund eventually.
That sounds to me (and I think it would to any hiring manager) that you are data mining really hard. Thats not a good way to get hired.
