Qualitative Research position
Recently received an offer from a well respected value oriented ($1B+ AUM) HF. The catch is that the role is purely qualitative research (researching industries, companies, etc...) and has been stressed many times during the interview process that the role will not evolve into anything investor/quantitative/actual financial analysis related. Does anyone have any experience with these types of roles? What would exit opps be? Is this type of role respected?
