Questions about Hedge Funds and after banking jobs here

Hey guys, im a soon to be Stanford Freshman and have a couple of questions about Hedge Funds. Can you tell me the different levels/positions that are at the HF's(analyst, associate,vp, md, etc) and what position they will give after two years in banking? How long would it take until you become more senior and will be making 10 mil a year, at what age should I expect to be partner or fund manager? I'm pretty clueless on HF's but I do know some facts here and there. Would anyone have an article or website where I can read up on HF's?

markets related jobs are fairly meritocratic, so i don't think its good to think about it in terms of a set path if you're not good enough, you could probably spend your whole life and not make it to manager also, different backgrounds feed into different types of hedge funds macro hedge funds and long-short equity do not pull from the same pool

don't worry about the specifics of the career path. make sure you actually are interested in markets and not just he money. joining the Blyth Fund (Stanford's student run investment group) would be a good start.
