Can I, as a REPE analyst, move to a hedge fund, or would I have to move on to something else before I would be able to make the leap? Obviously, nothing is impossible just wanted to know my odds and if anyone has done it.

based on my experience, very difficult, unless you're looking to cover CMBS / REITs / etc, in which case it's doable - but still not the easiest path.
