Sending stock pitch via email as a Freshman
If I’m interested in doing HF internship for freshman summer, is it worth sending it via email for an informational coffee chat (ie asking for thoughts/ comments?) both in term of possibly getting internships but also just as a way to get a good conversation with these investment professionals. If so what types of firms is it worth sending to. FWIW I got to a top target with a very heavy presence at top SMs and everything in between so I could easily find someone at a more mid sized fund like say Baupost (albeit they bias long and mine is a short/short pair) or even smaller like Greenlight and email them it, or I could just focus more local/small aum funds too
