Has anyone heard of this Shenkman? Are they a HF, traditional RIA, or mutual fund?
none of the above, really - they are a fairly traditional/conservative long-only institutional high yield manager. Reasonably well respected in that space and fairly big.
Thanks for the response...to add---since they aren't a HF---do you have any idea what their compensation is like, or for an industry average (salary, bonus)?

Yeah, I've heard that they're very high quality, well respected.
Maybe that's because the founder is from my university and thus why I was saying it ?
