Possible? Sure. Likely? Absolutely not. HFs are extremely selective and we have no reason to take a risk on an ops person with no relevant experience. You're better off going to a role where you can develop a transferable skill set.

Agree. Most people either 1) aren't willing to work harder 2) don't know where to put their efforts or 3) some combination of those two things. The ethos that built this site went to the best schools and had all options presented to them, but Wall Street (and business in general) was built from nothing and the options are what you create...regardless of pedigree or background.
