Systematic funds that try to mimic fundamental style?

What are some well known systematic/quant firms that try to automate/mimic the fundamental investment process? I.e., trying to teach the computer to decide and prioritize like a fundamental PM/analyst. I.e., not treating data and algos as a black box, but infusing fundamental knowledge and rules.

I'm not talking about asking ChatGPT to pitch stocks (I'm aware that is not gonna work any time soon), but about firms that process fundamental company data and alt data via statistical machine learning algorithms.

Also, does it work well for them?

There are funds that do ‘alpha capture’ where a systematic portfolio construction model is fed simple rankings by fundamental analysts. Model accounts for factor, beta tilts and automates sizing decisions
