Third Point 2022
anyone have updated insight into comp / culture / hours / structure / etc? all other threads were from like a decade ago. obviously overall a well regarded fund and returned mid-20% last year, but wanted to see if anyone had any further insights. they don't seem to be as desired/well-regarded on here as other SM that are referenced constantly (tiger, elliott, pershing, etc) - perhaps not as generous with pay as peers?
specifically talking about their L/S equity arm, i know they run quite a few different strategies.
thanks!
Loeb is now the Loro Piana brand ambassador, so one of the perks should be bunch of Loro Piana stuff.
They're just as desirable as the firms you mentioned (better than Elliot I would say). They just aren't in the news as much. They hire very infrequently, so it's likely irrelevant
any insights into the culture / hours / etc?
what group are you interviewing for? Also guessing you're coming from MF REPE?
no, coming from another l/s HF - my title here has been wrong from the very beginning, and i don't know how to change it.
I've heard comp is great and culture is quite good. It seems like a great seat. Best of luck!
How does comp compare vs viking / lone pine type shops? Not sure if this is correct, but I believe it’s a similar set up to viking where analysts get to manage their own (sizeable — $1-3bn) book. Would assume you get paid a % of pnl? Is this the case for viking and third pt?
