Thoughts on Macro Alf setting up his own hedge fund?

Came across it before then he was mentioned in eFinancialCareers.

Seems like he used to work at ING in rates / macro managing $20bn or so.

Went from finance content creation pretty much to managing around $100m

It seems like he knew he was getting fired from ING and pivoted to content creation towards the end. No one would move from a real PM seat to do what he does. Then, he got lucky and attracted the attention of enough people to give him a second chance.

As someone who operates in the same space as him, his public content is not impressive (never paid for anything from him, so don’t know about the rest).
