Tips for Succeeding as a Biotech Analyst at a Pod
Started at a pod around 6 months ago covering biotech and struggling a bit with the shorter duration model. Previously I was at a single manager focused primarily on clinical stage companies. Since joining I'm having a bit of a hard time with the pod model given it feels like my PM doesn't even want to wait until a binary event next month / (potential) sale beat next quarter to "get paid".
Pod biotech analysts of WSO - do you have any tips for how to succeed in the platform model while covering this sector?
Unrelated to the question asked but how did you end up in your role?
Did you come from ER or IB (looks like IB)? Any science background?
Banking + undergrad in biochem
Can I PM you about biotech HF!
