Transitioning to a New Seat

I am transitioning to a new seat and on a non-compete. I've been an analyst at two multi-managers for the last 6 years and going to another multi-manager. Over my 6 years, have worked with guys that are generally tougher to work with and hoping the next seat is a little bit better (although understand when it comes to managing real money, there is no such thing as soft hands). I was hoping to get advice on things that I can do to help get ready for my next seat, although I also get that when you don't have risk on, there is not much to do.

I've been creating a written record of my best trades and my worst trades and trying to dissect in hindsight what went right and what went wrong. Reading some books like "Thinking in bets". What do you guys think?
