Undergrad Looking to do HF long-term. How can I get there?

Hello all,

I am currently a sophomore at a non-target in Boston with an internship in corp fin this summer. As recruiting had begun for summer 2020 I have been applying to both S&T and IB roles and networking with alumn as is the norm. I generally enjoy my conversations with alumni in S&T more and find their work more interesting but understand the experience and learning that comes from being in IB for a couple years.

My goal has always been to join a HF, whether a few years out of college or later on in my career. Now as recruiting in ramping up I am wondering if I should focus more of my efforts on IB or S&T to make this happen.

Thoughts?
