Visium Asset Management?

Anyone hear anything about this place? Good sized shop and have a few higher up contacts there, but wanted to hear opinions on what life is like for analysts. Model monkey job? Flipping coins on quarterly earnings? Anything helps!

One of my good buddies had a couple interviews there and was really impressed with the team. That position didn't work out for him, but I know he still chats with some contacts there and would chase an opportunity there, if his current path does work out.

As noted in the below article, it looks like they are pretty big on HC and Biotechs these days:

Healthcare & Biotech Hedge Funds see asset surge 12%; Glenview Capital, OrbiMed & Visium lead gainers http://www.hedgetracker.com/article/Healthcare-Biotech-Hedge-Funds-see-…

Interviewed there for a research oriented role two years ago so info might be outdated but was told each industry pod works somewhat autonomously and early on the role would involve mostly supporting the head of research there (head of TMT research, or head of energy, etc) rather than idea generation directly for a PM. No clear track for picking up sector coverage yourself... but that may have changed.
