What are some examples of alphas that used to be profitable?
I'm trying to get a sense of what alphas with 2+ sharpe ratios look like. I understand nobody is giving away secret sauce, so I'm specifically asking about things that used to work, but no longer do. Are they always super low latency? Low liquidity? Or based off alternative data? Fundamentals?
