No, I really don’t. The amount of $ you have is totally immaterial vis-à-vis your choice between 1) dollar-cost-averaging or 2) ripping your entire liquid net worth during a time valuations are (/ were) at an all-time high.
Fwiw, I’m actually in favor of your approach on the whole — I maxed out my 401k this year already, for example. More time in the market is going to be better in the long-haul, even if we occasionally get pinched during times like these. But it’s a personal choice in capital allocation strategy, not some sort of systemic flaw.
I have a hard time buying the index down 12% here when there are so many individual names down double that. Looking at MSFT, GOOGL, MS, BX
