What do you travel for when working at a SM? I don't understand what events might be relevant to travel to.
I'm just wondering why you can't do this job remote. Some people work at HFs in SF, some in Dallas, some in LA, some in NYC. I don't understand why you couldn't work at one in say, South Dakota. What do you have to travel for? I am in PE right now and we travel for management meetings mainly since I do software investing. This could be done the exact same if working remote, too. What events require you to travel as a SM HF analyst? Thank you.
