What is the term for when funds pick only their winners to talk about? To show in reports, etc..

Maybe you could use "window dressing" for that as well, although the phrase originally refers to something else.
If you want to get into this more academically, that's been studied in empirical accounting research under "disclosure theory" (look for articles especially from Dye and Verrechia, going back to the 80's).
Window Dressing is the term you are looking for
Its none of those and this doesn't just refer to hedge fund managers... window dressing is close, but not it.
